For this personal exploration, created in collaboration with Polair Studio and Gleb Shcherba, we set out to reinterpret performance eyewear through light, energy and materiality.
Rather than presenting the object in a conventional product context, we treated it as a catalyst for motion and atmosphere. The challenge was to transform a functional design into an immersive visual experience — one that feels intense, precise and forward-looking.
We developed a bold monochromatic world shaped by deep reds, sharp highlights and glowing edges. Glass surfaces refract light with surgical clarity, while particle systems erupt, dissolve and collide with the form. Each frame balances control and chaos, reinforcing the idea of engineered performance under pressure.
The project served as a creative laboratory to explore advanced shading, dynamic simulations and the relationship between motion and sound. Working closely with audio from the outset allowed us to shape rhythm, tension and release as one cohesive system.
Kato became an exercise in pushing aesthetic boundaries, refining technical workflows while crafting a visual language that feels powerful, focused and uncompromising.
